Note that free users cannot upgrade to a subscription directly through the mobile apps. To purchase a Pro Plan, you must use the Hashchats Web App.

Note: Our Text AI's Advanced tier can automatically select reasoning or search models when it determines that your prompt requires deeper thinking (e.g., complex inquiries) or searching the web for more up-to-date information. These include internal "thinking" or "reasoning" steps as well as webpage content as context, which are part of the token usage. You won't see these tokens generate, but they help make responses smarter and more accurate.

Note: Our Audio AI's Music tier can automatically choose to generate a song between 10 seconds all the way to 5 minutes. For pricing, all AI-generated songs are counted as exactly 10 seconds of audio regardless of the actual song length (i.e. whether you generate a 5 minute song or a 5 second song, you will be charged for 10 seconds of audio per song, which currently comes out to $0.25 per song at $0.025 per second). This is subject to change at anytime.

Note: Voice AI is for realtime spoken conversations with AI and is billed separately from Audio AI, which is used for generated music and audio files. Voice AI is counted at $0.10 per active minute.

- Billing Portal (Web App): Go to your Account Management page on the web app, select Manage Subscription, and cancel via Stripe.
- Account Deletion: On your Account Management page, choose Delete Account to permanently remove all data and cancel your subscription.
If you delete a chat, all messages and media within the chat will be deleted forever.
Chats with multiple people cannot be deleted but can be exited at any time. Deleting a private AI chat affects only you and exiting a multi-participant chat doesn't delete it for others.
- Add existing Hashchats contacts directly.
- Copy an invite link to share anywhere. Invite links are short-lived (about 24 hours), and you can always generate a new one.
- Send email invites from inside the app.
- Show a QR code for nearby people to scan.
- On iOS/Android, invite phone contacts with SMS or email after granting contacts permission.
If someone opens your invite link while signed out, Hashchats will guide them through sign-in and bring them back to the chat.
Once someone joins, they can view the full chat history and start participating immediately.
If you opened the link while signed out, sign in and retry the same link if it has not expired yet. Once you join, you can view the full chat history and participate immediately. If the link opens in the wrong place, copy it into the Hashchats web app or open it again from the device where you use Hashchats.
- Open the chat and tap the "More" menu.
- Tap the chat name OR select "Chat Participants".
- Tap the "More" option next to the person you want to remove.
- Select "Remove Participant".
- Open the chat and tap the "More" menu.
- Tap the chat name OR select "Chat Participants".
- Tap the "More" option next to the person you want to make admin.
- Select "Transfer Admin".
When you exit a chat, all other participants will remain, and the chat's message history will stay visible to them.
If you are the last remaining participant in a chat, exiting it will automatically delete the chat as well.
To download media (photos, videos, audio, files) on the web or mobile, tap the download icon to download it.
When @ai is on:
- Text AI: Upload up to 8 files, images, videos, or audio, plus any links. All inputs will be used to generate text.
- Image AI: You can attach up to 8 images only. Other file types are not supported in this mode.
- Video AI: You can attach only 1 image. Videos, audio, and files are not supported in this mode.
- Audio AI: You cannot attach any files, images, videos, audio, or links in this mode.
Image AI, Video AI, and Audio AI do not use links the same way. Image AI uses image attachments, Video AI can use one image attachment, and Audio AI does not support attachments or links as prompt inputs.
For message lengths, a maximum of 128K characters is allowed when @ai is off. For Text AI, the maximum message length is also 128K characters. For image, video, or audio generation, the maximum allowed message length is 8K characters.
Check the attachment limits, make sure the selected AI mode supports the file type, grant the needed device permission, and retry on a stable connection. On mobile, videos larger than 32MB may be optimized before upload, but files are rejected if they still exceed the applicable limit after processing.
Mentions and attachments (photos, videos, audio, or files) cannot be edited or replaced. Push notifications already delivered to other participants will not be updated.
Messages sent with @ai on cannot be edited.
Deleting a message removes it from the chat, but any push notifications that were already delivered to other participants will not be removed.
Messages sent while @ai is on cannot be deleted.
For people chats, exiting a chat does not delete the conversation for other participants. Shared messages and media may remain visible to recipients as part of their chat history, so delete specific content before leaving a chat or deleting your account when that content is eligible for deletion.
During the call, Hashchats responds by voice in real time and can use web search when fresh information is needed. Final spoken turns from you and Hashchats are saved back into the chat as normal messages, while partial live transcripts are not saved as permanent chat messages.
Voice AI is separate from generated Audio AI or music. Voice AI usage counts toward your AI usage based on active call time.
If those 20 messages are already full, Hashchats can also prepend pinned messages as additional context.
For image, video, and audio generation, message history is ignored; only the prompt (including hashtags) is used.
- Text AI: Uses all media/text in the replied-to message.
- Image AI: Edits images; uses text as prompt; ignores audio/video/links.
- Video AI: Uses first image only or text as prompt; ignores others.
- Audio AI: Ignores all content of the replied-to message.
Voice AI can also use web search when fresh information is needed during a private Voice AI call. Search and webpage context can add token usage because Hashchats has to process the search results and page content as context.

You can also type @ai in the message field to activate it.
Scheduled AI messages also need the chat to remain eligible and your account to have enough available AI usage when the scheduled prompt runs. If usage appears incorrect or a paid request repeatedly fails, contact support with the chat type, AI mode, and approximate time of the request.
To reconnect, a new invite must be sent and accepted. Once a contact is blocked & removed, you or the ex-contact cannot start a conversation with each other UNLESS either of you join a shared chat via an invitation link.
Email and password changes are handled through account settings. For security, changing your email or resetting your password may require a verification link sent to your email address. Expired or invalid links cannot be reused, so request a new link if the old one no longer works.
For your safety, never share passwords, reset links, or verification codes with support. If you still cannot access your account, contact support using the email address associated with your Hashchats account so we can help you troubleshoot.
