Answer
Choose None, 12 Hours, 24 Hours, 7 Days or 30 Days. Select Done to apply the chosen duration. Closing without Done leaves the saved setting unchanged. If saving fails, the previous setting remains active and you can retry. This is a shared chat setting, not a personal hide option. Older messages become eligible for periodic deletion at that age; it is not an exact deletion timer. Chats with auto-delete enabled never save memory and do not use chat memory. In a private AI chat with auto-delete, AI can still use your existing personal memory when Personal Memory is on and it is relevant. A formerly shared chat that becomes private keeps its saved auto-delete duration and access to this existing setting while it remains enabled.
