For a private AI chat, open the chat row's More menu in the AI tab and choose Delete Chat, then confirm. Inside the chat, you can also open Chat Options using its name or More control and choose Delete Chat. Deletion is permanent.
For a People chat, open the chat's More menu in the People tab and choose Exit Chat, or use Chat Options → Exit Chat inside it, then confirm. Other participants keep the chat and its history.
When a formerly shared People chat drops to one participant, it becomes that person's private AI chat in the AI tab, keeping its history, media and schedules. Use Delete Chat there. A newly created one-person People chat awaiting invitees is not converted; exiting that initial one-person chat still deletes it.
Deleting a chat does not recall content already forwarded, downloaded or shared elsewhere. When someone is removed from a chat, the chat disappears from their list without a removal push or in-app notice. Remaining participants keep the existing removal activity in the conversation.
On updated builds, repeating a completed deletion or exit quietly keeps the chat removed. If deletion cleanup is still finishing, the app keeps the chat removed and offers Retry in Cleanup Pending to finish it. Genuine failures still need attention.
