What is a temporary chat?

A Temporary Chat is a private AI conversation kept out of regular history and eligible for deletion after about 24 hours of inactivity.

Answer

  1. Start a New Chat. If a private chat already contains messages, start another one.
  2. Before sending the first message, choose the Temporary Chat clock control in the header.

The control is offered only while a regular private AI chat is empty. Cleanup is periodic, rather than an exact countdown. Temporary Chats never save memory and do not support Scheduled Messages. When Personal Memory is on, AI can still use your existing personal memory there when it is relevant.
