Can I reuse the hashtag on someone’s message?

On updated apps, tap a message’s Hashtag card, with the Use tooltip, to select it in your current composer. This turns @ai on if needed, chooses its type and replaces your previous manual selection without sending.

Your draft, reply and attachments stay intact. The picker does not open and the editor is not focused. You must still have access to the hashtag: a visible label does not grant access to someone else’s private prompt.

A Universal Hashtag for the target type remains authoritative. Clear it in Chat Options → Advanced Options → Universal Hashtags before selecting another. Incompatible attachments, an upload in progress or unavailable AI usage can block selection. A blocked or failed attempt keeps the composer unchanged.
