How do I use panels on a phone or smaller screen?

Panels such as Chat Participants, Search Messages, Pinned Messages, GIFs, Clips, Settings and chat forms use the screen’s width on smaller screens. Wider screens show centered popups. Long lists scroll; empty states stay visible in the panel.

Swipe down from the top handle or ordinary content to close a sheet. In a scrollable list, pull down after reaching the top. Upward swipes continue browsing. You can also tap outside or use Close, Cancel or Back when offered. Text fields and controls keep their usual gestures.

Sheets move up and down, while centered popups fade. Reduced motion removes these transitions. Compact confirmations stay centered, and Forward To keeps its full-page layout on smaller screens. Saving can temporarily prevent dismissal; closing a panel does not submit a form.
