Exact quoted words are preserved in the music instructions, though the generated audio can vary. Audio accepts text instructions rather than attachments or linked audio.
You can also leave Text selected and ask “Create an instrumental jazz song.” A clear song-creation request uses Audio generation and its usual price while the composer stays on Text. Audio can also make supported spoken answers when the request calls for speech.
A song costs $0.25 regardless of its generated length. You can request up to 300 seconds, but the output length can vary. To write lyrics without generating a song, stay in Text and ask for lyrics. To record yourself, use the microphone in Text or with @ai off.
