How do I send an existing GIF or Clip?

Reviewed October 17, 2026

With @ai off, choose GIFs or Clips in the composer. In Select a GIF, choosing a GIF sends it. In Select a Clip, choose one to preview with sound, then press Send Clip. These are existing media, separate from AI video generation.

Answer

With @ai on and Text selected, ask “Send a celebration GIF” or “Send a reaction clip celebrating our win.” A GIF request must say gif or gifs, including in a selected Text hashtag prompt. Hashchats searches KLIPY and sends the first eligible result, optionally with short text. Clips do not guarantee exact dialogue. Try another description if nothing is available.

Successful request processing uses Text tokens at $0.010 per 1,000, with no minimum or Image/Video charge. Empty or failed retrievals have no GIF or Clip charge. No new device permission is required.

Questions, quotations, translations and instructions not to send media do not retrieve it. Other AI modes keep their selected output medium. Direct GIF and Clip replies hide AI controls. Provider playback can become unavailable after delivery.
