Answer
- Tap a message on mobile or hover on desktop web and choose Pin.
- Choose Pinned in the chat header to open Pinned Messages. Select a message to return to it.
- Use Unpin to remove a pin. On updated builds, the small pin beside a pinned message’s sender also unpins it directly. Double-tap or long-press remains available.
The item disappears immediately. If saving fails, the pin is restored and an error appears. Older installed mobile builds may lack the direct Unpin button.
Message pins belong to the chat in private AI and People conversations and can contribute to Text AI context. Pinning a chat row is separate and personal.
While Auto-Delete is enabled, message Pin actions and the Pinned shortcut are hidden. Turning it off restores them for surviving messages. Enabling Auto-Delete does not clear existing pin metadata.
On updated builds, a repeated Pin request for a message that is already pinned stays quiet and preserves who pinned it. Choosing Unpin remains a separate action.
