Answer
Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu and other right-to-left languages read from right to left, with English words and numbers in the right order. Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and other Indic scripts, Thai, Khmer and Burmese join and wrap correctly, and Chinese, Japanese and Korean are included. Emoji print in black and white. A rare character no font covers appears as a replacement mark instead of stopping the file.
Tables can have any number of rows and columns. A wide table moves to landscape pages with smaller text, down to a readable minimum, and a very wide one splits into parts that each repeat the first column. Long tables continue across pages and repeat the header row.
DOCX, Markdown, TXT and HTML use the fonts on the reader’s device, so languages and emoji show wherever that device supports them. DOCX and HTML mark right-to-left paragraphs so Word, Pages, Google Docs and browsers order them correctly. DOCX splits a table only beyond Word’s 63-column limit.
